Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning.
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded.
• Operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet extractors safely and effectively.
• Handle laundry tasks as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces, floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas where applicable.
• Manage time efficiently to complete scheduled cleaning tasks within designated timeframes.
• Use appropriate cleaning detergents and supplies while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding their specific cleaning needs and preferences.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain supplies inventory for ongoing service delivery.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or janitorial cleaning with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including mopping, polishing, and carpet extraction.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and sanitation products to ensure effective hygiene practices.
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting and outdoor work activities when required.
• Strong organizational skills with effective time management to prioritize tasks independently.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their expectations.
• Experience in housekeeping management or custodial roles is a plus.
• Attention to detail in dusting, surface sanitation, and overall cleanliness standards.
