Cleaning Operative - Ardor Domestics Ltd

Ardor Domestics Ltd is looking for a reliable and flexible Cleaner to join our team, preparing domestic appliances to a high standard before they are sold to members of the public.

The Role

Your main responsibility will be to thoroughly clean and prepare used domestic appliances, ensuring they are presented in a clean, hygienic and saleable condition.

Duties will include:

• Cleaning washing machines, tumble dryers, cookers, dishwashers, fridges, freezers and other domestic appliances.
• Deep cleaning both the interior and exterior of appliances.
• Removing dirt, grease, stains and general build-up.
• Checking appliances are clean, presentable and ready for sale.
• Reporting any damage or issues noticed during cleaning.
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area.
• Working efficiently to meet daily targets and sales schedules.
• Handling appliances safely and responsibly.

• Be physically fit and comfortable moving and cleaning domestic appliances.
• Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Be flexible with working days and hours.
• Be able to follow instructions and company procedures.
• Have good time-management skills.
• Be respectful when handling customer property and company stock.
• Have reliable transport and be able to travel to and from the workplace independently.
• Be able to reliably travel to our premises for all agreed shifts.
• Previous cleaning, warehouse or appliance experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Expected Hours

This is a flexible part-time position, with an expected 8-16 hours per week, depending on workload and availability.

Hours will generally be arranged during Monday–Friday daytime hours, with flexibility required to accommodate the needs of the business.

Additional hours may be available as the business grows.

Pay & Engagement

• £12.71 per hour
• Self-employed basis
• Flexible working arrangements based on business requirements and availability.
• The successful applicant will be responsible for managing their own tax and National Insurance obligations where applicable.
