Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards in all areas
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely
• Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms
• Handle heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment with proper technique to ensure safety
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and specialized floor care techniques
• Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly using appropriate detergents while adhering to safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding specific cleaning needs or concerns
• Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and equipment operation
• Knowledge of residential housekeeping practices and outdoor work experience preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, sanitation standards, and surface care techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with physical endurance
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the workday
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents
• Experience in carpet cleaning, dusting, floor maintenance, and general housekeeping management is advantageous
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
