Job Summary

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms and kitchens.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and janitorial tools efficiently and safely.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to health standards to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Handle laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning techniques.
• Use cleaning detergents safely and effectively while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling and chemical use.
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist with outdoor work as needed, such as trash removal or outdoor surface cleaning.
• Support housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or supply needs promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or janitorial cleaning roles with knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment operation.
• Strong understanding of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when moving furniture or large items during deep cleans.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple locations or client sites.
• Customer service orientation with clear communication skills for client interactions.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and chemical safety protocols.
• Experience with carpet cleaning, dusting, laundry handling, and outdoor surface maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of manual handling best practices to prevent injury during heavy lifting or repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
