Yellow Door Hotel is a growing hospitality brand committed to providing clean, comfortable, and welcoming spaces for our guests. We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Cleaners to join our Housekeeping team.

Job Summary

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and general condition of assigned guest rooms and hotel areas. The successful candidate must take pride in their work and consistently maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms and hotel areas to established standards.
• Make beds, change bed linen, and replace towels and other room amenities as required.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and thoroughly clean floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitise bathrooms, toilets, showers, sinks, and other facilities.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish toiletries, tissue, water, and other guest supplies where required.
• Ensure guest rooms are properly arranged and presented before guests' arrival.
• Report damaged, missing, or faulty items in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Report maintenance issues such as leaking taps, faulty lights, damaged furniture, or air-conditioning problems promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, stairways, public areas, staff areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain proper care and storage of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
• Follow hotel hygiene, safety, and housekeeping procedures at all times.
• Respect guest privacy and hotel confidentiality.
• Handle guest belongings responsibly and report any lost-and-found items immediately.
• Respond courteously to reasonable guest requests and refer concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work closely with other housekeeping team members to ensure rooms and assigned areas are completed on time.
• Support deep-cleaning activities and special cleaning projects when required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and comply with the hotel's grooming and conduct standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cleaner, room attendant, housekeeper, or similar role is an advantage.
• Experience in a hotel, serviced apartment, restaurant, hospital, or similar environment is preferred.
• Good understanding of basic cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment properly.
• Good attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, and perform cleaning duties for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and responsible.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
