Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitization
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards
• Maintain floors through cleaning, polishing, and floor care techniques suitable for various areas
• Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment safely and effectively to clean surfaces, carpets, and outdoor areas when necessary
• Communicate professionally with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs or preferences
• Assist with housekeeping management duties such as inventorying supplies and scheduling routine cleaning tasks
• Ensure all janitorial equipment is maintained in good working order and used properly
• Follow time management practices to complete cleaning assignments efficiently within designated schedules

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles preferred; residential housekeeping experience is a plus
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures including sanitation standards and floor care techniques
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, tools, and detergents used in various environments
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work when required
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks effectively
• Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and handle physically demanding duties
