Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces, using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Handle various cleaning agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and protocols
• Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and buffing
• Conduct routine sanitation tasks such as trash removal, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and restocking supplies
• Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning equipment or materials to prevent injury
• Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical agent handling safety procedures
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety practices
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
