Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across two various commercial spaces. One based in Ledsham and another in Aberford. The cleans will take place each Monday and usually a Friday starting at 10am for 4-5 hours until guests arrive at 3pm. Hours can change during busy periods for example Christmas etc.

• Perform thorough cleaning of restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces to maintain a spotless environment
• Dispose of waste properly and manage recycling procedures in accordance with company policies
• Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing extra attention or maintenance issues
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workspace
• Report any damages or maintenance needs promptly to supervisors for immediate action

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks efficiently and thoroughly
• Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move around for extended periods
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently or as part of a team
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and proper equipment use
• Excellent time management skills to complete daily tasks within scheduled hours

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
