Cleaner (DBS Checked, Casual)

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and professional DBS-Checked Cleaners (immediate start) to join our team and help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments across various commercial facilities. As a Cleaner (Casual), you will play a vital part in upholding hygiene standards, and supporting the overall operation. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference every day!

This role is 10 hours per week for cleaning of a very pleasant, but busy office in LS12. Two hours per day Mon-Fri.

All cleaning materials provided & kept on-site.

Hours are flexible, but will need to be done outside of standard office hours. (before 8am or after 6pm)

NOTE: We are open to applications from Cleaners who work in pairs, providing both are DBS Checked, as this specific job requires securing the building and being responsible for the keys. Please make it known during the application process if this applies to you. (please note with two cleaners this would be 1hr per day mon-fri, rather than 2hrs if solo.)

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal across designated areas
• Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently to achieve high standards of cleanliness
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other high-traffic zones
• Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper as needed
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
• Ensure buildings are locked & secure at end of shift on out-of-hours cleans.

Experience

• NECESSARY: DBS certificate.
• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment used in commercial environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
• Reliable with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to tasks

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
