Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle various chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment.
• Conduct sanitation tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold health standards.
• Operate custodial equipment efficiently for floor care, buffing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall facilities upkeep.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
• Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects by adhering to established procedures and quality standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with strong knowledge of custodial practices.
• Expertise in handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures.
• Skilled in operating cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting techniques consistently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation, safety protocol adherence, and facility maintenance.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and facility users.
• Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning environments, including residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus.
