Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in top condition.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards, reporting issues promptly.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established protocols.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or minor repairs to keep facilities in excellent shape.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries and ensure safe lifting practices.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while adhering to safety protocol guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleaning schedules and records.
• Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude to assist visitors or staff when needed.
• Experience with floor care including buffing, polishing, and using floor buffers or other specialized cleaning equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
