Cleaner Janitorial Worker

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across our facilities. This energetic role is vital in creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. As a key member of our custodial team, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals, and uphold safety standards to keep our spaces pristine and well-maintained. Your proactive approach will contribute to the overall efficiency and professionalism of our operations.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Handle and store chemical agents safely following chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and replenishing supplies in restrooms and kitchens.
• Operate various cleaning tools including mops, and other custodial equipment to ensure optimal cleanliness.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety protocols.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including long periods of standing or walking.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or Porter roles is advantageous but not necessary.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
