Cleaner (part-time)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff In a school.

Hours of work are 15:00-18:30. Monday-Friday. 17.5 hours per week.

Overtime hours are available through the week or on weekends If you would like to extend your hours.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively
• Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities
• Interact courteously with clients and staff, providing excellent customer service when required

Requirements

• Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual, and organised with a keen eye for detail
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
• A valid DBS certificate or be able to pass one is required
