St David’s Residential Care Home provides high‑quality, person‑centred care in a warm and welcoming environment. Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic home is essential to the wellbeing of our residents, and we are now seeking a reliable and thorough Part‑Time Cleaner to join our team.

Role Purpose

To ensure all areas of the care home are cleaned to a high standard, supporting infection control, resident comfort, and a safe living environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas including lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and bathrooms
• Clean resident bedrooms in line with individual preferences and care‑home protocols
• Carry out regular deep‑cleaning tasks as scheduled
• Empty bins and manage waste safely and appropriately
• Refill cleaning supplies and report low stock levels
• Follow infection control procedures and use cleaning products safely
• Maintain high standards of hygiene in all areas of the home
• Work collaboratively with the care and maintenance teams
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly

Skills & Qualities

• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards
• Ability to follow health and safety and infection control procedures
• Respectful, professional, and sensitive to working in a care environment
• Good communication skills

Experience & Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of infection control (training provided)
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
