Cleaner (Temporary)

Job Overview

At Eaton Bank Academy, we are seeking a motivated Temporary Cleaner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Your energetic approach and commitment to high standards will ensure that all spaces are spotless and well-organised, contributing to a positive experience for staff and visitors alike.

Duties

• Undertake cleaning, laundry, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of designated areas (which may include toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings and where appropriate using powered equipment
• Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms and communal areas, including floors, windows, toilets, using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Ensure all surfaces are sanitised and disinfected according to health and safety standards
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
• Take responsibility for closing and locking doors and windows and switching off all equipment as instructed within a given area
• Adhere to health, safety, and security protocols at all times during cleaning activities
• Responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning is desirable, but not essential
• Full training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable with excellent time management skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: £13,447.00 per year
