Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocols.
• Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitation of high-touch areas to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.
• Operate various cleaning machinery and equipment efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks.
• Maintain facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for additional cleaning or specific sanitation needs from staff or clients.
• Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical agent handling safety procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively.
• Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly and work well within a team environment.
• Physical stamina required for standing, walking, bending, lifting heavy items, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
