Cleaning & Restoration Technician Job Summary

Assist in gaining and retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of residential and commercial cleaning and restoration services. This role moves between both sides of the business — some days on cleaning projects (carpet, upholstery, tile & grout, air duct) and other days on restoration projects (water, mold, fire/smoke, and biohazard) — based on the day's job schedule and business needs.

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform the cleaning services the company offers (carpet & floor cleaning, upholstery, tile & grout, air duct) as well as all restoration services (water damage, mold remediation, fire & smoke, biohazard)
• Participate in the company’s sales meetings and increase the average specialty cleaning ticket through upselling value-added products.
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation, authorizations, and customer invoices.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Qualifications and Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills, with the ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units needed for a restoration job.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Certification in performing appropriate restoration services (Water Mitigation, Mold, etc.) preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Highly Desired Certificates from Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred, but not required
