Cleaning Attendant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaning Attendant to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and proactive approach will contribute significantly to the overall upkeep and sanitation of our premises. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners efficiently and safely.
• Handle chemical agents with care, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure safe use and storage.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
• Assist with custodial tasks related to floor care, including buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings.
• Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting any repairs or hazards promptly.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and moving equipment or supplies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, preferably within commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol adherence.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and facilities maintenance operations is a plus.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety procedures related to chemical handling safety procedures and safe lifting practices.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
