Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaning Specialist to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. This role is vital in creating a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients alike. You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks across different areas, ensuring all spaces meet our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning, adhering to all chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocols.
• Use custodial tools and equipment efficiently to complete tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, window washing, and trash removal.
• Conduct sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards in high-touch areas and restrooms.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or residential painting as needed to support facilities upkeep.
• Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning supplies or equipment to prevent injury during manual handling activities.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and safety compliance checks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques involving floor care, buffing, and the use of various cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting in accordance with safety protocols.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
• Prior experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is preferred.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and ability to follow detailed instructions for chemical handling safety procedures.

Pay: $23.58 - $28.40 per hour
