Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high sanitation standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums efficiently and safely.
• Handle chemical agents with strict adherence to safety protocols for proper storage, mixing, and disposal.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, and common areas while ensuring compliance with sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management promptly.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Support special projects such as industrial cleaning or residential painting as needed to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred; familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, custodial equipment operation, and floor care including buffing and polishing.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
• Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with clients or facility occupants.
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment at all times.
