Cleaning Operative

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various residential and commercial premises. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and industrial sites, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
• Ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards, including floors, windows, restrooms, and communal areas.
• Follow specified cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet roll as needed.
• Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning to the supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to cleaning tasks.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or evenings if required.
• Must have your own reliable transport (own car essential, as travel between sites is required)
• Must hold valid business/vehicle insurance covering work-related travel
• Must be DBS checked or willing to get DBS checked

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
