Cleaning Operative

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including offices, restrooms, corridors, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Ensure all surfaces are sanitized, floors are swept and mopped, bins are emptied, and high-touch areas are disinfected regularly
• Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed
• Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
• Report any maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning activities to the relevant department promptly
• Adhere to established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent quality standards are met or exceeded
• Support additional duties such as window cleaning, carpet vacuuming, or special event preparations as required

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following instructions carefully
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated shifts

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
