Cleaning Operative – Flexible / Zero-Hours

TidyTuff Cleaning Services Ltd is looking for reliable, efficient and detail-oriented Cleaning Operatives to join our growing team across East London.

This is a flexible zero-hours role. Shifts are offered based on client bookings, your availability and location. There are no guaranteed minimum hours.

The Role

You will provide high-quality cleaning services in customers’ homes and other client properties across East London.

Jobs may include:

• Regular domestic cleaning
• Deep cleaning
• End-of-tenancy cleaning
• Airbnb / short-let turnovers
• After-event cleaning
• Commercial cleaning

Depending on the job, you may work independently or alongside another TidyTuff cleaner.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous professional cleaning experience preferred
• Able to clean efficiently and at a good pace while maintaining high standards
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow cleaning checklists and complete tasks within allocated times
• Valid Basic DBS required
• Right to work in the UK
• Reliable, punctual and organised
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional and respectful when working in customers’ homes and other client properties
• Able to travel reliably between client locations across East London and arrive on time for scheduled bookings
• Smartphone with access to WhatsApp and mobile data

How the Role Works

This is a zero-hours position with no guaranteed minimum hours. You will provide your availability regularly, and available shifts will be offered based on client bookings, your availability, location and operational requirements.

You are free to work elsewhere and are not required to accept every shift offered. However, once you accept a shift, you will be expected to attend and complete the job to TidyTuff’s standards, except in genuine emergencies.

Recruitment Process

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview.

Candidates who progress beyond the interview stage will be invited to complete a paid practical cleaning trial, where we will assess cleaning quality, attention to detail, efficiency, pace, professionalism and ability to follow instructions.

Successful applicants will then complete the required checks and onboarding before being offered client shifts.

Pay: £15 per hour
Location: East London – various client locations
Hours: Flexible / Zero-Hours

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 1.0 per week
