Job Overview

DGS Service Solutions are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative (part time) to join our dynamic team at Richmond Shopping Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the shopping centre. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure the environment is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.

Hours will be a mix of morning and afternoon start times and can be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal in designated areas
• Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies effectively to ensure thorough sanitation
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and communal areas according to health and safety standards
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency and quality
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management for swift resolution
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during cleaning activities
• Support team members with additional cleaning duties as needed to meet operational requirements

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift cleaning supplies or equipment when necessary
• Excellent communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols related to cleaning operations
