FULL-TIME HOUSEKEEPER & PROPERTY CARE SPECIALIST

HomeHop | Cleveland, OH | Full-time, 40 hrs/week | $20-25/hr

ABOUT THE ROLE

HomeHop manages vacation rentals across Cleveland. This is a new in-house position, our first full-time housekeeper on staff. This isn't just cleaning. You'll be the person who makes sure every home is guest-ready, fully stocked, and working properly. You'll report directly to the General Manager and work with the Operations team, who set your schedule each week.

WHAT YOUR WEEK LOOKS LIKE (APPROXIMATE)

• Turnovers and cleans: 20-24 hours

• Property inspections: 5-7 hours

• Hot tub and pool care: 3-4 hours

• Restocking and supply runs: 3-4 hours

• Re-cleans, deep cleans, and special projects: 3-5 hours

Drive time between properties is paid work time. Your schedule is planned weekly with the GM and Ops team, and it shifts with bookings and seasons.

TURNOVERS AND CLEANING

• Complete full turnovers between guest checkout and check-in: beds, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, trash, and staging

• Follow HomeHop cleaning standards and checklists for every property

• Start and complete every job in our task management app, with photos of each room at completion

• Perform deep cleans and mini cleans when assigned, documented with timestamped video

• Handle re-cleans when a guest reports an issue, often on short notice

PROPERTY INSPECTIONS

• Conduct pre-arrival inspections to confirm homes are guest-ready

• Conduct post-checkout inspections, documenting damage, missing items, and excessive mess with photos and video

• Spot-check work done by our contract cleaners and report quality issues

• Check vacant properties between bookings: HVAC, water leaks, pests, locks, smoke detectors, and exterior condition

• Report maintenance needs to the Operations team so repairs can be scheduled

HOT TUBS AND POOLS

• Test and balance hot tub chemicals, and submit test strip photos and readings through our team apps

• Rinse filters, check water levels, and secure covers

• Check pools for water level, clarity, debris, and equipment issues; report anything off immediately

SUPPLIES AND INVENTORY

• Restock guest consumables at each visit: toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo, coffee, trash bags, and cleaning supplies

• Track inventory and flag low stock before it runs out

• Pick up supplies and deliver them to properties as needed

SMALL FIXES AND EXTERIOR CARE

• Replace light bulbs, batteries, and HVAC filters

• Take trash and recycling to the curb on pickup days

• Tidy porches, patios, and outdoor furniture; clean grills after guest use

COMMUNICATION

• Stay reachable during your shift through our team messaging app and phone

• Send photo or video proof for anything that could lead to a guest claim or owner question

• In an emergency, call 911 first, then notify Operations

• Request time off at least 7 days in advance; report call-offs at least 24 hours before your shift

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Cleaning experience in short-term rentals, hotels, or homes (Airbnb experience preferred)

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and a smartphone

• Comfortable learning new apps

• Weekend availability, since turnovers run 7 days a week

• Able to lift 25+ lbs, climb stairs, kneel, and work independently

• Detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to own the quality of every home

• Must pass a background check

PAY AND SCHEDULE

• $20-25/hr, based on experience

• 40 hours a week, scheduled weekly with the GM and Operations team

• Paid bi-weekly, with weekly pay available as a performance incentive

• Mileage reimbursement between properties
