Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning duties across designated areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial tools safely and efficiently.
• Use appropriate chemical agents for sanitation while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
• Follow safety protocols consistently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting when necessary to support overall building upkeep.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and proper use of cleaning equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow chemical handling safety procedures meticulously.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, manual handling, and performing repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset when interacting with staff or visitors.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety protocols.

Pay: $10.85 - $12.80 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
