Cleaning Team Member

Job Summary

So Clean Cleaning Services is seeking a Cleaning Team Member to support daily cleaning and sanitation operations across assigned residential or commercial properties. This role is responsible for maintaining clean and organized spaces, using cleaning supplies and equipment safely, following established procedures, and working collaboratively with team members to deliver reliable cleaning services.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned rooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and other accessible areas.
• Clean and disinfect kitchens, bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Use cleaning products, tools, and equipment according to company procedures.
• Restock paper products, soap, and other cleaning or hygiene supplies as needed.
• Follow assigned cleaning checklists and service schedules.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or supply shortages.
• Maintain organized cleaning carts, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow chemical-handling instructions and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Communicate with supervisors and teammates about completed tasks and service needs.
• Respect client property, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Perform additional cleaning duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience is an asset but not required.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment safely.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with residential or commercial cleaning.
• Familiarity with cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
