Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including vacuuming, floor care, dusting, and sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle chemical agents safely by understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS), proper storage, and usage procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by properly disinfecting surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas in accordance with hotel housekeeping management guidelines.
• Utilize industrial cleaning techniques for deep cleaning projects or special sanitation needs following hotel emergency procedures when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or comfort.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely.
• Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Assist in training new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hotel housekeeping standards.

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience within hospitality or industrial cleaning environments is preferred.
• Experience with hotel housekeeping management practices is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques including floor care maintenance is advantageous.
• Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and familiarity with SDS documentation is essential for safety compliance.
• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality settings will help ensure seamless integration into our team.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest satisfaction are crucial for success in this role.
