Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
• Handle chemical agents responsibly by following safety protocols for mixing, application, and disposal of floor cleaning chemicals and other cleaning solutions.
• Conduct floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, polishing, and refinishing to restore floors’ appearance and durability.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies, equipment, or furniture with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally during cleaning assignments.
• Follow environmental services guidelines to ensure eco-friendly practices are maintained throughout all cleaning activities.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
• Ability to handle various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with the use of floor cleaning chemicals and proper handling of chemical agents.
• Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with cleaning operations.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of environmental services best practices to promote sustainable cleaning solutions.
