Cleanroom Production Operator - Join a Team That Owns Its Future!
About Us:
E&O Laboratories Ltd is a UK market leader for the manufacture of Microbiological Culture Media. We are looking to recruit highly motivated Production Operators to work within our cleanroom environments at our site in Westfield, Cumbernauld.
Here at E&O Laboratories Ltd, we are also an “Employee Ownership Trust” (EOT) company, so we can also offer:

- A workplace where everyone’s contribution counts
- Twice‑yearly profit‑share distributions after 12 months’ service
Our modern “One‑Team” culture is built on respect, support and progression. Managers and supervisors lead with empathy, offer hands‑on training, and encourage development across all roles.
The Role: Cleanroom Production Operator
E&O manufacture sterile/aseptically poured liquid & solid mediums/reagents within cleanroom environments at our sites in Bonnybridge, and Westfield, Cumbernauld.
A cleanroom environment protects the product from any arial or contact contamination; operators are required to wear sterile cleanroom bodysuits, hairnets, facemasks and foot coverings
You will be trained how to operate fully automated and semi-automated production lines, manufacturing essential microbiology/virology ready-to-use mediums for laboratory diagnostic testing.
Although this fast-moving, high-energy environment can sometimes be challenging, excellent training and support is always on hand and achievable production targets are set and rarely not met!
Shift Patterns:
- Dayshift: Mon–Thu, 08.00 to 16.30 (32 hrs per week)
- Backshift: Mon to Thu, 18.00 to 22.00 (16hrs per week)
Rates of Pay: Starts at NMW, with the chance for this to increases as you complete training and hit your milestones (£12.71 to £13.48 per hour)
What Brings You to the Team
- A positive, can‑do attitude
- Excellent attendance and timekeeping
- Being someone who takes pride in their work
- A team player who can also work confidently on their own
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow set procedures
- Focus, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines
- Flexibility to cover both sites when required and ideally your own transport
- A desire to learn new skills and grow your career
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary and workplace pension
- Membership of the “Employee Ownership Trust” after one year’s service with a twice- yearly profit distribution
- Opportunities for career and self-development
- Friendly, non-corporate working environment
- A supportive team who wants you to succeed
