Clerical Assistant

About the role

The Clerical Assistant provides general administrative support to the Association office, handling phone-in and walk-in enquiries and providing counter services. The role involves managing inventory, preparing supplies, and maintaining office equipment and facilities, as well as performing outdoor duties such as mailing and bank-in services. The post holder will be on duty for Festival events held occasionally during holidays and provide support to ad hoc duties as required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support to the Association office
• Handle phone-in and walk-in enquiries and provide counter services
• Keep inventory and prepare supplies and maintain office equipment and facilities
• Perform outdoor duties such as mailing and bank-in service
• Be on duty for Festivals events held occasionally during holidays
• Provide support to ad hoc duties as required

About you

• Have Level 2 or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or have Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or Grade E in the HKCEE, or equivalent
• At least 2 years' work experience in providing administrative and logistics support
• Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Chinese word processing speed of 10 words per minute and English word processing speed of 25 words per minute
• Able to communicate in English and Cantonese; knowledge in Putonghua is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, service-oriented, and a good team player
