Duties

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions.
• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
• Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and issuing receipts.
• Refill propane tanks.
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive store environment.
• Upsell store products and promote ongoing promotions to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
• Be vigilant on who you sell 18+ & 21+ products to. Such as lottery, cigarettes & beer.

Requirements

• Prior experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with team members on all aspects.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math for pricing and discounts, and cash drawer handling are essential.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive interactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings.
