Key aspects of the role include:

- Attending meetings and producing accurate minutes that capture key discussions, decisions, actions and their rationale.
- Maintaining detailed records of committee membership, attendance, training and declarations of interest.
- Monitoring agreed actions and ensuring decisions are communicated to the relevant individuals.
- Providing procedural support for committees and assisting with panels relating to pupil suspensions, permanent exclusions and parental complaints.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Governance and Compliance Team to support effective governance across the Trust.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has proven experience taking minutes at formal committee or board meetings, with excellent writing skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Has experience clerking in a school or academy trust setting and an understanding of governance procedures, including exclusions, complaints and appeals.
- Is highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and confident coordinating meeting arrangements.
- Can maintain detailed records and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Communicates effectively and can build positive working relationships with committee members, headteachers and colleagues.
- Is flexible and able to attend evening meetings and travel across the Trust when required.
