Client Accountant

Our Douglas-based firm are an Accounting and Advisory business with an international reach and focus. With continued growth experienced across many areas of the business, they are actively seeking an experienced Client Accountant.

Reporting to the Associate Director (TCSP), the Client Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records of multiple clients and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards for a diverse range of client entities. This role involves maintaining accounting records, preparation of financial statements and VAT returns.

Specific duties will include:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation (Sage and Xero)
• Preparation of financial statements for a diverse range of client companies and trusts in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 105
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Produce other ad hoc reports as and when required
• Perform additional duties from time to time as requested
• Assist and liaise with colleagues and clients with accounting and other queries
• Liaise with the various teams and clients

The ideal candidate for the role of Client Accountant will be:

• ACCA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience
• Proficiency in accounting software, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of how to manage sensitive and confidential information
• Familiar with UK GAAP
• Prior experience in preparation of company and trust financial statements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently under pressure and also as part of a team
• Be versatile and adaptable
