What You'll Do

• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a first-level point of contact for client queries and routine advisory matters
• Review bookkeeping, management accounts, and year-end financial statements for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and professional practice requirements
• Manage client engagements, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
• Review work prepared by staff to ensure quality and consistency
• Provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters
• Assist with preparation and review of VAT/recaps returns and other statutory filings
• Mentor, train, and performance-manage accounting staff • Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other professional advisors as required
• Preparation/review of financial statements, working papers and supporting schedules and checklists
• Identify opportunities to improve client processes and add value to client engagements

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting, including team oversight or mentoring responsibilities
• University degree in Accounting or fully ACCA-qualified
• Proven ability to work autonomously while leading and supporting a team
• Highly assertive with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with a strong self-motivated approach
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Fully fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Xero, Sage Online, and QuickBooks is considered a strong asset
• Experience reviewing work, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls is preferred
