Client Advocate

Job Summary

Join Christian Care's dedicated team in Rock Island as a Client Advocate. We are committed to providing compassionate care and support to individuals experiencing homelessness. In this vital role, you will serve as a liaison, empowering clients through advocacy, resource connection, and emotional support. Your energetic and proactive approach will help transform lives by guiding clients toward stability.

This position will work in our men's Rescue Mission emergency shelter. Hours are set at Sunday and Tuesday (6a-3p) and Friday (11p-7a).

Responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a primary point of contact for clients seeking assistance & offering immediate support.

• Assess clients' needs thoroughly to determine appropriate services, including housing, and emergency resources.

• Document all client interactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality.

• Assist with our community meal site and medication procedures.

Candidate should have excellent crisis management skills, experience with mental health and substance abuse and a knowledge of community resources. Hours are set as above and cannot be modified. Christian Care is an EOE.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26.0 per week
