What they need
Client & Advisor Executive
About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Client & Advisor Executive to join Carricks Financial Partners for Life, based in our new Putāruru office. We're looking for someone available to start in late January or early February 2027, with flexibility around the start date for the right candidate.
This full-time position plays an important role in supporting our advisors across general insurance, life and health insurance, KiwiSaver and investments, while ensuring an exceptional client experience across the wider business.
As a key member of our Support Team, you'll be a central point of contact for clients and advisors, helping coordinate communications, manage workflows and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
The position offers a great balance of independence and collaboration. While based in Putāruru, you'll work closely with our wider team, with different advisors working from the office each day. We're looking for someone who is confident working autonomously, takes initiative and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
We'd particularly welcome applications from people with strong connections to Putāruru and the wider South Waikato communities. As we establish our local presence, we'd love someone who knows the area, enjoys building relationships and is enthusiastic about helping Carricks become a trusted part of the community.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as a central point of contact for client enquiries across general insurance, life and health insurance, KiwiSaver and investment services.
- Answering, triaging and directing calls, emails and communications to the appropriate advisor in a professional and timely manner.
- Coordinating advisor diaries, scheduling client appointments and managing meeting arrangements to ensure efficient use of time and smooth day-to-day operations.
- Coordinating client communications and maintaining a high standard of service and responsiveness.
- Accurately summarising client interactions and ensuring clear handover of follow-ups to advisors.
- Liaising with insurers and providers across all areas of the business to support client servicing and issue resolution.
- Managing renewals, pre-expiry processes and monitoring missed premiums.
- Supporting end-to-end claims management, ensuring clients are kept informed throughout the process.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records within CRM systems.
- Supporting the wider Administration & Office Support team as required.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve processes through effective use of systems and tools.
What we're looking for
- Experience in a client-facing, coordination or support role (financial services experience advantageous but not essential).
- A professional, friendly and client-focused mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage client interactions confidently.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to client service.
- The confidence to work independently, take initiative and manage responsibilities without constant supervision.
- High attention to detail, particularly when summarising client conversations and managing follow-ups.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workflows.
- Confidence with technology, including the ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to evolving tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Copilot), with experience using CRM platforms advantageous.
- A mindset geared toward using technology to improve efficiency, accuracy and client experience.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

At Carricks, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that empowers our employees to thrive. We offer a range of benefits, including:
- Competitive remuneration based on experience and capability, with additional benefits after 12 months of employment.
- Paid day off for your birthday.
- Life insurance (subject to eligibility criteria) and discounted general insurance.
- Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- A collaborative and collegial team environment.
- Flexibility around working hours and family commitments, including school holidays, with a willingness to discuss arrangements that work for both you and the business.
- The opportunity to play an important role in establishing and growing our presence in Putāruru and the wider South Waikato.
