What they need

Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 base, with upside to $95,000–$110,000 based on event performance

We're hiring a Client Development Specialist on behalf of our client—a growing wealth management firm serving the Mid-Atlantic region.

This is a home-based role built for someone who loves being in the room —setting the stage for seminars and workshops, connecting with attendees, and turning great presentations into booked appointments.

Based in the Northern Virginia area, with the ability to travel comfortably to Tysons Corner, DC, and up toward Delaware/Philadelphia for events.

Why this role?

  • Own the full on-site experience at client seminars and workshops—from setup to breakdown
  • Open for the presenter, work the room, and set appointments with attendees
  • Build and manage an active prospect pipeline, with performance tied directly to results from events
  • Work from home between events, with the flexibility (and travel) that comes with a field-based role
  • Join a firm that invests in high-touch, in-person client acquisition rather than cold outreach

What you bring:

  • A confident, outgoing style—comfortable setting appointments in person (not hard sales, just personable)
  • Direct experience working for a RIA or Broker Dealer
  • 2 -4 years of sales, event planning, or call center experience, plus 2 years of client relations experience
  • 2+ years already working in a comparable client events/appointment-setting role
  • Experience running a full campaign cadence—roughly 2 campaigns (4 events) per month, 20+ campaigns per year
  • Hands-on experience introducing presenters, organizing event logistics, handling setup, and securing phone call/appointment sets
  • A track record tied to real results—prior campaigns contributing $20M+ in new assets brought in annually
  • Ability to travel regionally, including some evening events (up to 1.5-2 hours each way)
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage a full seminar calendar
  • Based in or near Northern Virginia, with the flexibility to travel throughout the DC-to-Philadelphia corridor

You might already be doing this work under a different title:

  • Appointment Coordinator (sometimes "Client Events & Scheduling Specialist")
  • Seminar Coordinator
  • Event Coordinator / Events Assistant
  • Marketing & Appointment Coordinator
  • Meeting Setter
