We're looking for an experienced Client Manager / Client Advisor with 6+ years of public practice experience who wants genuine ownership of their clients, the opportunity to mentor a team, and the chance to play a meaningful role in growing a successful advisory practice. This client is happy to review strong seniors for this position who are scoping promotion opportunities also.

You'll join a high-quality, collaborative professional services environment where you'll have the autonomy to build strong client relationships, provide commercially focused advice and contribute to the direction of the team.
What you'll be doing

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, taking ownership of relationships, workflow, deadlines and WIP.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and confidently lead client meetings.
• Review financial statements, tax returns and advisory work, providing high-quality technical oversight.
• Identify commercial opportunities, risks and areas where you can add further value to your clients.
• Prepare and contribute to advice across taxation, financial and investment matters.
• Develop and mentor junior and senior team members, sharing your technical knowledge and helping others progress.
• Provide strategic advice around Division 7A and broader tax matters.
• Research complex technical issues and translate your findings into practical advice for clients.
• Take an active role in improving processes, systems and the way the team delivers its services.
• Contribute to wider firm initiatives and help shape the culture and future direction of the business.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years' experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and building genuine client relationships.
• Someone who enjoys mentoring, developing and leading others.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and confident in identifying opportunities for clients.
• Someone who wants to progress their career rather than simply manage a compliance workload.
