Client Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact with the principal, managing the day-to-day and strategic business relationship.
• Drive sell-in and sell-out performance against targets across MT, GT, and E-commerce channels.
• Align with the principal on annual business plans, pricing, trade terms, listings, and promotional calendars.
• Drive numeric distribution, MSL compliance, and new product launches.
• Oversee in-store execution, including shelf visibility, planogram compliance, and POSM deployment.
• Manage the purchase order process, demand forecasting, and inventory health to prevent out-of-stock situations.
• Ensure cold chain compliance for chilled products, including temperature monitoring and incident management.
• Monitor payments to the principal, customer credit limits, and debtor ageing together with Finance.
• Manage trade spend, promotion claims, rebates, and reconciliations.
• Prepare regular performance reports and lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with the principal.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG sales, key account management, or distributor management.
• Good understanding of Malaysian MT and GT channels, trade terms, and in-store execution.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including trade spend and credit control.
• Experience with chilled or temperature-sensitive products is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/DMS systems.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
