Client Onboarding Manager

About the role

XChangeLab is a cross-border payments and FX company with operations in Hong Kong and Malaysia. We are looking for a Client Onboarding Manager in Johor Bahru to bring new business clients on board quickly, smoothly and in line with our compliance rules.

Key responsibilities

• Own the onboarding of new corporate and individual clients from first contact to account opening.
• Collect and check KYC / KYB documents: company registry papers, ownership structure, directors, UBOs, IDs, proof of address.
• Review client profiles, expected activity and source of funds, and prepare onboarding files for compliance approval.
• Chase missing documents and keep clients updated so onboarding does not stall.
• Work closely with sales, compliance and operations to get clients live and trading.
• Keep onboarding records clean and ready for audit.
• Help run periodic client reviews and updates of client information.
• Suggest ways to make onboarding faster and easier without cutting corners.

About you

• 3+ years in client onboarding, KYC or KYB at a bank, PSP, remittance, FX or fintech company.
• Good understanding of AML / KYC rules and corporate ownership structures.
• Experience dealing directly with business clients.
• Very organised, detail-focused and good at following up.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Confident with Excel / Google Sheets and online onboarding tools.
• Experience onboarding international clients from several jurisdictions (nice to have)
• Experience leading or training a small team (nice to have)
• AML / compliance certification (nice to have)
