Our mission is to deliver innovative, reliable and people-first technology solutions that help our clients thrive.

We’re a high-performance, values-driven team that’s curious, united and accountable. We challenge each other to grow, collaborate openly and celebrate success together. If you love technology, enjoy working with people and take pride in getting things right from day one, this could be the role for you.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid Working Policy: Flexibility to balance work and life
  • Professional Growth: Paid certifications, structured learning plans and career development pathways
  • Culture & Perks: EOFY and Christmas parties, annual team-building days, wellness programs and an EAP for support
  • Office Goodies: Daily fresh fruit, snacks, coffee machine and free street parking
  • High-Performance Culture: Recognition for initiative, collaboration and innovation

About the Role

As our Client Onboarding Technician, you’ll play an important role in welcoming new clients to KMTech and ensuring their transition into our managed services environment is smooth, organised and technically sound.

This is a hands-on technical role with a strong client-facing element. You’ll work across technical onboarding, system configuration, IT audits and assessments, documentation, onsite coordination and client communication.

You’ll be involved from the early stages of onboarding through to successful handover, working closely with our Projects, Service Desk, Account Management and Sales teams to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Most importantly, you’ll help create a great first experience for our clients combining strong technical capability with clear communication, organisation and genuine customer care.

The underlying Onboarding profile specifically focuses on smooth technical integration, IT audits, onboarding frameworks and ongoing client updates.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the end-to-end technical onboarding of new KMTech clients, ensuring systems, users and services are transitioned smoothly
  • Complete IT audits and assessments, identifying non-standard configurations, risks and areas that don't align with IT best practice
  • Configure and deploy systems, software, devices and cloud services as part of the onboarding process
  • Follow established onboarding processes and Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS), keeping tasks on track and escalating risks or delays early
  • Coordinate onsite requirements, technician bookings and client availability to keep onboarding activities moving
  • Communicate directly with clients throughout onboarding, providing clear updates, confirming requirements and setting expectations
  • Create and maintain accurate technical and client documentation in line with KMTech standards
  • Ensure relevant client information is accurately captured and ready for handover to the Service Desk and wider KMTech team
  • Follow change control processes for modifications impacting production environments
  • Work closely with Projects, Service Desk, Account Managers, Sales, vendors and other stakeholders throughout the onboarding journey
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, documentation and the overall client experience
  • Take ownership of issues, follow them through and ensure clients feel supported from day one

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is technically capable and comfortable dealing directly with clients.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience in an IT support, MSP, projects, deployment or technical onboarding environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365, Windows and cloud services
  • Experience with software deployment, system configuration and IT service management
  • An understanding of networking, users, devices and general IT infrastructure
  • Experience working with ticketing or PSA systems such as ConnectWise
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, clients and deadlines
  • Confident, professional communication skills both over the phone and face-to-face
  • A genuine customer service mindset and the ability to build trust with clients
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, accountable approach you “see it, own it, do it”

Certifications & Development

We’re committed to building high-performing technicians and investing in your growth.

Relevant certifications or experience in the following will be highly regarded:

  • Microsoft Modern Desktop / Endpoint technologies
  • Microsoft Azure
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Microsoft 365
  • Relevant IT qualifications or certifications

We will support you every step of the way, including:

  • Paid study time during work hours
  • Exam leave
  • Full funding of approved certification exams
  • Structured learning and development opportunities

Why You’ll Love It Here

This isn’t a role where you’ll sit behind a screen fixing tickets all day.

You’ll get exposure to different client environments, work across technical projects and onboarding activities, build relationships with clients and have the opportunity to see the impact of your work from beginning to end.

We’re a team that backs each other, takes ownership and goes above and beyond for our clients and for one another.

If you’re someone who enjoys the technical side of IT but also genuinely likes working with people, this is an opportunity to bring both together.
