Client Relationship & Underwriting

Role & responsibilities

• Manage relationships with key corporate clients and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Understand client risk profiles and insurance requirements.
• Analyse risk information, policy requirements, claims experience and exposure details.
• Coordinate with insurers/underwriters for quotations, terms, pricing and coverage.
• Evaluate and negotiate insurance terms based on client requirements and risk profile.
• Support new business as well as renewals for corporate accounts.
• Review policy structures, coverage, exclusions, deductibles and other terms.
• Coordinate with internal placement, claims and operations teams for seamless servicing.
• Prepare and review insurance proposals, quotations and comparison statements.
• Monitor renewal pipelines and ensure timely closure of renewals.
• Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
• Handle complex client queries and coordinate with insurers for resolution.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and underwriting teams.
• Ensure adherence to internal processes, documentation and regulatory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• 6-12 years of experience in Insurance Broking / General Insurance, preferably in Corporate Insurance.
• Strong experience in Client Relationship Management and Underwriting.
• Candidates with experience handling large corporate accounts will be preferred.
• Good understanding of commercial/general insurance products and risk assessment.
• Strong insurer/underwriter networking and negotiation skills.
• Excellent client management and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage accounts and handle complex insurance requirements.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
