What they need

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP ASSOCIATE

The Discovery Experts

No legal experience required We will teach you the industry

Start Here: Why This Job Exists

Discovery is painful, expensive, and confusing. We own the unavoidable so you can prevail.

Here is the situation we are hired to fix.

Some of the largest construction and energy companies in the country get sued. A lot. Their legal departments are small — a handful of lawyers, a few paralegals, and an IT person who already has a full-time job. What they genuinely need is an entire team dedicated to managing the evidence in those lawsuits. Almost none of them can justify hiring one.

So we become that team. Not a vendor they call when something breaks — an actual extension of their department. And the person who makes that feel real, week after week, is our Client Relationship Associate.

You are the reason a paralegal in Kansas City feels like she has backup. You are the reason an assistant general counsel walks into a status meeting already knowing the numbers. You are the person who notices, three weeks before anyone else does, that something is about to become a problem — and gets ahead of it.

That is the whole job. Be genuinely useful to people who are stretched too thin, often enough that they start to depend on you.

We build relationships. We design technology. We develop superheroes. -Our core values

Who This Job Is Really For

Let’s be direct about something, because it will save you time.

We are not looking for someone who already knows eDiscovery. We have tried that, and we have learned something: the technical part is teachable. The part that is not teachable is whether you are the kind of person who naturally builds relationships, notices what people need, and moves before being asked.

So we are looking for that person instead — and we will teach you the rest.

You may be early in your career. You may be coming out of a role that had nothing to do with law. What matters far more to us is whether you have already shown, somewhere in your life, that you can do these things:

  • Lead a group of people who did not have to follow you — a student organization, a chapter, a campus government, a club, a team, a volunteer group, a shift of coworkers.
  • Build a relationship with someone well outside your own circle and keep it alive over time.
  • Organize something with a lot of moving parts and see it through without being reminded.
  • Pick up the phone and start a conversation with someone you have never met.
  • Compete at something — athletics, performance, debate, sales — where showing up prepared actually mattered.

Those experiences tell us more about your fit for this role than a legal résumé would.

How We Work

Relationships, not transactions

One of our twelve Concierge Service Values puts it plainly: we are all about relationships, not transactions. We learn about our clients’ people as people. We ask about their families and we actually remember the answers. We send handwritten notes. We never open a call by asking how big the case is.

We make the client the hero

Our job is not to look like the smartest person in the room. It is to make our client contacts look good to their bosses, and to make their lives easier. Every interaction starts with one question: how can I make this person’s day easier?

No surprises, ever

We tell clients what is coming before it happens. We check in even when nothing is going on — because when people have not heard from you in a while, their minds go to dark places.

We teach before we sell

We deliver accredited continuing-education programs for lawyers about twice a month. You will help coordinate them, invite the right people, and eventually help lead them. That is how we grow — by being useful first.

You will not be thrown in the deep end

This role has a structured three-month ramp, a defined book of clients, and standing check-ins twice a week with our Chief Client Officer to plan your outreach and talk through what you are hearing. You will have a lot of support and a lot of runway.

What You Will Actually Do

You will own a defined book of our largest corporate clients and become the person their whole legal department knows by name — lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants, and selected people on their IT side.

Stay in front of people

Make proactive outbound calls and follow-up emails to everyone in your book. Not just the person who signed the contract — everyone who touches a case.

Run the check-in rhythm

Schedule and lead recurring update calls. Come with an agenda. Leave with next steps.

Deliver the reporting

Assemble and walk clients through executive reporting on their matters — what is happening, what it is costing, what is coming next.

Handle new matters

Take the lead when a new case comes in: gather documents, coordinate with our consultants, get the kickoff scheduled, and attend it.

Gather intelligence

Collect the things that make us better partners — legal department org charts, IT contacts, preferred outside counsel, shifting priorities.

Run special projects

Coordinate multi-month initiatives for our largest clients and keep every stakeholder updated.

Get people to training

Invite clients and their support staff to continuing-education programs, platform training, and events.

Listen for problems

When a client mentions something that is bothering them, you flag it — to our consultants or our sales team — so we can go solve it.

Keep the record

Log every call, email, meeting, and note in HubSpot so the whole team stays smart about your clients.

How Success Is Measured

  • Outreach calls completed each week.
  • New matters opened each month from the clients in your book.
  • Revenue growth within your book, quarter over quarter.
  • The depth of your contact network — how many people inside each client know and trust you.

Your First Ninety Days

Month 1

Learn what we do and how we do it. Training on our services, our consultants’ and project managers’ workflows, and our technology platforms. Begin studying for an industry certification, which we pay for.

Month 2

Get introduced to your clients by our Co-Founder and Chief Client Officer. Begin your weekly outreach rhythm. Start taking the lead on new matters coming in.

Month 3

Operate independently. Complete a first full pass of outreach to every account. Begin adding new contacts and shaping your own plan for growing each relationship.

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • A four-year college degree (Communications, preferred)
  • A track record of building relationships and leading people — in work, school, athletics, or community involvement.
  • Comfort picking up the phone and starting conversations with professionals you have not met.
  • Strong written communication. Clear, warm, and brief.
  • Genuine follow-through. If you say you will do it, it gets done.
  • Located in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Helpful, but not required

  • Any exposure to law firms, corporate legal departments, or the construction or energy industries.
  • Experience with a CRM, project tracking tool, or reporting software.
  • Customer-facing work of any kind — hospitality, athletics operations, events, recruiting, account support.

You will thrive here if you are

  • Naturally curious about people and what they are dealing with.
  • Proactive to a fault — you would rather ask forgiveness than wait for instructions.
  • Organized enough to juggle many relationships without dropping any of them.
  • Comfortable being the youngest person in a room of lawyers and asking good questions anyway.
  • Energized by being useful rather than by being impressive.
  • Willing to say the awkward thing kindly — we confront quickly, clearly, and with care.

This is probably not the right seat if

  • You prefer to be given a task list rather than build your own week.
  • You find cold outreach draining rather than interesting.
  • You want to work heads-down and be left alone.

What We Offer

  • A real career path. This role is the front door into real professional growth.
  • We provide in-depth training.
  • Standing coaching from our Chief Client Officer twice a week — not an annual review, actual weekly development.
  • Direct access to the CEO and executive team. We are about thirty people; nobody here is anonymous.
  • Competitive base compensation with performance incentives tied to growth in your book.
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); paid time off; and nine paid company holidays.
  • Flexible hours and a remote-capable environment, with minimal overnight travel.
  • A culture worth showing up for — three all-team meetings a year, a team book club, weekly meetings where we share stories of service, and an annual theme we actually live.

We are the only eDiscovery team committed to concierge service and unmatched expertise. - Our vision
