Client Service Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a Client Service Manager to join our accounting team. You shall review and finalise accounting work, support month-end and year-end closing, and coordinate closely with our Malaysia team.

You shall report to the BPO Manager (“Manager”) in Singapore. You shall review work prepared by both the Record to Report (R2R) and the Data Processing (DP) teams, follow up with the Malaysia team on outstanding items, and make sure work performed is accountable, accurate and deliver on time to the best possible effort. This role is suitable someone with strong project management skills and adequate accounting experience. This role also requires ability to communicate and supervise the various team members.

Job Description

• Review accounting work prepared by the R2R and DP teams, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations and adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, financial statement compilation and consolidation, and review of corporate tax computations.
• Coordinate and execute client payment processes in accordance with established procedures and approval requirements.
• Handle Singapore payroll and related payroll tax compliance for assigned clients, where applicable.
• Review Malaysia payroll and oversee relevant statutory payroll submissions and annual employee tax reporting.
• Handle GST compliance matters, including reviewing tax treatments, taxable purchase claims and preparing GST returns.
• Manage client data and reporting by retrieving relevant reports from accounting and other platforms to support the DP team's work.
• Allocate jobs to the DP team, monitor work progress and provide coaching and guidance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Assist the Management in allocating and monitoring work.
• Suggest improvements to accounting workflows and processes.
• Coordinate new client onboarding, including client training, accounting system setup and document customisation.
• Act as a key point of contact between Management, clients and internal teams, follow up on outstanding matters, escalate issues when necessary and recommend improvements to workflows and processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of accounting experience, ideally including finalisation, month-end closing or review work.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and relevant statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience reviewing accounting work, identifying discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of deliverables.
• Familiarity with payroll processes, tax filings and accounting software or cloud-based accounting platforms.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and know when to escalate.
• Open to technology in adopting applications to perform work efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: RM5,800.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
