What they need
Client Service Advisor · $65,000 to $80,000 · St. Louis, MO
Earn $65,000 to $80,000 as the person who owns the client relationship after the close, at a firm whose advisors hand you the family and move on to the next one.
Forgent is a specialty talent platform for financial services firms. We’re leading this search on behalf of our client, a nationally recognized retirement planning and tax firm that has served more than 5,000 families, with a weekly program on CNBC and recognition from Inc. and the BBB. When an advisor closes a new client, you join the call, get introduced, and take it from there: paperwork, onboarding, moving assets, progress updates, review meetings, and the relationship for years to come. A client service specialist handles the routine processing so you can focus on the clients.
Series 65 and Life and Health licenses within 90 days of hire · Full-time
Why it’s worth a look
You own the relationship, not the inbox. At most firms, “client service” means processing tickets for someone else’s clients. Here, the advisor’s job ends at the signature. Yours is keeping that family for the long run, through reviews, updates, and the referrals that come from doing it well.
Support built into the seat. Client service specialists work under you on routine paperwork and account maintenance. You spend your time on the work that needs a licensed professional, not on chasing forms.
A firm growing fast, with real proof behind it. Inc. Best Workplaces 2025, Inc. 5000 2026, and BBB Torch Awards for Ethics in 2019 and 2024. The firm did about $10 million in revenue last year and is building toward $65 million within five years. Every new advisor they add means more families who need you.
Let’s talk about you
- You’ve spent at least three years in client service or sales at an insurance agency, broker-dealer, RIA, or custodian, and you’re the person clients ask for by name.
- You may already hold your Series 65 or insurance licenses. If not, you’re ready to earn both in your first 90 days.
- You’re comfortable with annuities and retirement accounts, and you can explain a transfer, a distribution, or a tax return in plain language to someone who’s nervous about their money.
- You follow through without being reminded. When something is time-sensitive, it’s done when you said it would be.
- You like a clear process and run it the same way every time, and you’d rather be part of a close team than work on your own.
What you’ll need: 3+ years of client service or sales experience in insurance or securities, the ability to earn your Series 65 and Life and Health licenses within 90 days of hire, and comfort with a CRM. HubSpot and RightCapital experience is a plus.
