Love people. Love animals. Love making a difference?
We’re looking for a highly organized, efficient and personable individual who genuinely enjoys helping people and wants to put their skills to work for a cause that matters.
As a Client Services & Administrative Assistant, you’ll provide support and cross-training across Administration, Reception, Client Services and Adoptions. You’ll help keep things organized and running smoothly while being one of the friendly faces our community interacts with every day.
This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where priorities can change quickly, so we’re looking for someone who can stay organized, productive and positive while keeping up with the day-to-day hustle of a busy animal shelter.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Loves working with people and takes genuine pride in exceptional customer service
- Is highly organized, efficient and detail-oriented
- Thrives in a fast-paced team environment
- Can juggle multiple priorities while staying calm and focused
- Is reliable, proactive and takes initiative
- Communicates confidently and professionally
- Is comfortable with computers, paperwork and administrative tasks
- Enjoys being part of a team and jumping in wherever needed
- Has a warm, positive and welcoming personality
- Wants their work to have purpose and make a difference
- Has a genuine love for animals and compassion for the people who care for them
- Knowledge and experience with cats and dogs is an asset
The role includes:
- Providing exceptional customer service to the public and volunteers
- Helping match pets with the right homes and families
- Assisting with adoption inquiries, meet & greets and adoption paperwork
- Reception and telephone coverage
- General administrative support, data entry and record keeping
- Supporting client inquiries and processes
- Cross-training and providing coverage in Administration, Reception and Adoptions
- Supporting volunteers and other shelter teams
- Helping keep our front-end operations organized, professional and efficient
This is a people-focused role with purpose. Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to make someone’s experience a little better, whether you’re helping a member of the public, supporting a team member or volunteer, or helping an animal on their journey to a better life.
If you’re someone who cares about the work you do, loves helping others, thrives in a busy environment and wants to be part of something bigger than a job, we’d love to meet you.
