Forgent is a specialty talent platform for financial services firms. We're leading this search on behalf of our client, a holistic financial planning firm in east Anaheim managing more than $240 million. Two of the firm's clients are clients today because a team member stayed 40 minutes after a seminar to keep talking with them. This is that seat. You'll run the firm's educational seminar program: filling the room, confirming every guest, setting up each event, and starting relationships the advisors get to finish. Between events, you'll support client onboarding, Redtail, and the projects that help a growing firm run better.

Why it's worth a look

You're the reason people walk in the door. About 60% of this role is the seminar and event program. That means roughly 20 morning and dinner workshops a year, quarterly lunch and learns, and a large annual client appreciation event. The advisors know how much new business starts at the check-in table, and they value the person running it.

You're joining at the ground floor of a real build. Over the next two years, the firm plans to double its team and triple its administrative staff, and a new office is on the way. The owners call this hire part of their core team: the people every future hire will be modeled on.

The firm pays to keep great people. The range is set above typical administrative pay on purpose, to attract experienced people who stay. Their long-term goal is employee ownership, so the team shares in what it builds.

There's real room to grow. Strong performers can move into office manager, an operations manager role leading the admin team, or a paraplanner track. After a year, the firm reimburses testing fees for industry credentials like the SIE.

Your ideas actually get used. The firm is building its workflows right now. It wants someone who will say "here's a better way to onboard new clients" and then make it happen.

You get a real ramp. If you start before the end of January, you'll learn the systems during the firm's lightest months, before seminar season picks up.

You genuinely enjoy people. Small talk comes easily, you know how to turn it into a real conversation, and you're as comfortable chatting with a retired couple at a seminar dinner as you are working the phones the week before.

You're the organized one. Guest lists, mailer deadlines, and client paperwork all stay on track, and nothing time-sensitive slips.

When there's no ready answer, you figure it out. When you say "I'll take care of it," it's done.

You want to build something and stay. You're looking for a team to grow with, not a short stop on the way to something else.

What you'll need: 5+ years in a client-facing role where you built relationships, not just processed them. Hospitality, events, client relations, sales support, and financial services all translate well. You'll also need strong phone and communication skills, comfort with a CRM and Microsoft Office, and the ability to work in office 9 to 5, plus occasional early-morning and evening events.
