We are seeking a professional, dependable, and service-oriented Client Service Representative to join our growing team. This position serves as an important connection between our clients and laboratory operations and is responsible for providing timely, accurate, and professional support throughout the testing process.

Position Summary

The Client Service Representative provides day-to-day support to physician offices, healthcare providers, and other GoPath clients. The position responds to inquiries, assists with specimen and case-related issues, coordinates with laboratory departments, and helps ensure client requests are resolved accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, can manage multiple priorities, and takes ownership of resolving client concerns from start to finish.

Essential Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries by phone and email in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
• Assist clients with questions regarding laboratory services, specimen requirements, case status, reports, and testing procedures.
• Research and resolve client concerns, escalating complex or time-sensitive issues when appropriate.
• Coordinate with laboratory departments to resolve specimen, testing, reporting, and turnaround-time issues.
• Monitor and communicate the status of specimens and cases to clients as appropriate.
• Assist with specimen-related documentation and ensure information is complete and accurate.
• Maintain accurate records of client communications, requests, follow-up activities, and resolutions.
• Communicate client requests and concerns clearly to laboratory, reporting, billing, and other internal departments.
• Provide clients with appropriate information regarding specimen preparation, submission requirements, and available laboratory services.
• Follow HIPAA requirements and maintain the confidentiality of patient, client, and company information.
• Support GoPath's quality and service standards in every client interaction.
• Identify recurring client issues and communicate trends or concerns to management.
• Perform additional administrative and client service responsibilities as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional customer-service approach.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow issues through resolution.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Comfortable learning laboratory software, electronic systems, and other healthcare-related applications.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds as needed.

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, medical office, diagnostic laboratory, or pathology environment.
• Familiarity with laboratory terminology, specimen handling, or laboratory workflows.
• Experience working with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), electronic medical records (EMR), or similar healthcare systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
