Client Services Representative

About the Opportunity:

Join a well-established independent insurance agency with more than 100 employees across multiple locations throughout the Hudson Valley. This growing organization specializes in personal, business, life, and health insurance solutions and is known for its commitment to employee development, internal promotions, and outstanding client service.

Due to retirements, internal promotions, and continued business growth, the organization is expanding its Personal Lines team and seeking several Client Service Representatives (CSR I and CSR II) to support a growing client base. This is an excellent opportunity for licensed insurance professionals looking to build a long-term career with an agency that values teamwork, ongoing learning, and career advancement.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Manage a personal lines book of business consisting of approximately 500-800 policies
• Service existing personal lines accounts and support producers
• Handle client inquiries regarding policy changes, renewals, coverage questions, and quotes
• Review policy cancellations and terminations, taking appropriate action within established timelines
• Quote new business and remarket existing accounts
• Educate clients on policy coverages, exclusions, and exposure risks
• Maintain accurate documentation of client and carrier communications
• Build relationships that generate referrals and cross-selling opportunities
• Follow up on prospects through agency systems and databases
• Collaborate with carriers, clients, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service

Required Qualifications:

• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License
• CSR I: 0-3 years of insurance experience
• CSR II: 3-5 years of insurance experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Comfortable learning and utilizing agency management systems
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented professional with strong follow-through
• Personal lines insurance agency experience
• Experience working with multiple insurance carriers
• Applied Epic experience
• Insurance designations such as AINS or CISR (not required)

Compensation:

• Base salary: $50,000 - $65,000 depending on experience
• 35% commission on first-year agency lines
• 50% commission on first-year cross-sold business
